Red Borneo Kratom
Residents of Kalimantan, the Indonesian part of Borneo, are enthusiastic users of their kratom. They even call it ‘the heavenly leaves of Borneo’. For them, it is a herb for all kinds of ailments. Looking back, they now regard the leaves as a traditional medicine. Nowadays, they use kratom in various forms. The leaves, for example, as cigarettes.
But modern Kalimantans use it primarily as a tea for extra energy. This kratom is particularly suitable for that purpose. It is made from leaves that have been allowed to dry for a longer period. This was followed by a special treatment involving light fermentation.
For this kratom, as with all kratom, an excessive dose can lead to side effects and habituation.
Usage: Prepare a cup of tea from this herbal preparation by dissolving 4 to 5 grams in boiled water at 70 – 95 degrees. The recommended steeping time is between 3 and 5 minutes. The tea does not need to be filtered; the entire contents can be consumed.
Warning:
Sale and use by persons under 18 years of age is not permitted. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if you have high or low blood pressure, heart and/or lung problems, diabetes, are pregnant, or are using medication, drugs, or alcohol.
Recommended dosage: 4 to 5 grams
Dosage:
In addition to your own body weight and sensitivity, the dosage also depends heavily on the strength of the kratom. Generally, 5-10 grams of dried leaves should be sufficient for inexperienced users. The dosage can be slightly lower with kratom powder, which is usually stronger than regular leaves (3-5 grams). The same applies to extract. Kratom is not addictive if used responsibly and not more than once or twice a month. More experienced users will feel the need to increase the dosage after some time.
Kratom in higher doses tends strongly towards sedative effects, regardless of the strain used.
